New Shirting/Flash Dance Shoulder

I am personally loving this trend. It is a super cool way to make normal professional wear weird–making anything garish and I am going to love it! We currently have a super cute peach top that is perfect for this trend. It is at a great price point, so if you aren’t sure about it, it isn’t a huge investment!

Off The shoulder

We have PLENTY of off the shoulder options, as we have been seeing this trend stick around since last Spring. I love to give you options, because each off the shoulder top truly fits different and speaks differently to the shopper. You can rock it with a bow on the sides and a solid color, as a dress perfect for Summer Weather and events, or a cute little crop! There are more options I didn’t add on here, so check out the website for more super cute off the shoulder looks!

Bold & Colorful Stripes

I am usually one to shy away from color, but these two pieces are TOO good to pass up. I love the maxi because it truly makes a bold and beautiful statement. I also love this striped dress that is coming soon. It has a great silhouette for work or for a dinner date! Don’t be afraid of horizontal stripes–they can actually be your best friend when worn in the right cut.

Banker Stripes (also known as Seersucker Stripes to us Midwestern Folks)

This is one of my favorite trends for the Spring/Summer! I LOVE the light blue banker stripes as they are fresh, crisp, and always flattering! We have a really cute version of it right now that keeps them from being too boring.  We had another simple blouse in banker stripes and it sold out in a DAY! So make sure you grab this trend because it is a HOT ONE!

Garden Party Florals

Florals for Spring and Summer, ground breaking, I KNOW. But seriously, they are a never fail trend for warmer weather! We have a few options, but these are a few of my favorites! What I love is that they are cross over trends as well, so you get two trends for the price of one! No lie–THIS DRESS IS EVERYTHING! (click on the picture to take you to the deets!)

Spring Trend Report 2015

If you are like me, you are SO over cold winter weather and dreaming of warm sweetness. Around this time I am always looking to update my wardrobe with fresh spring pieces and check out which new spring trends work for me.

This spring (and what feels like almost every spring) Midi Skirts, Florals, and pastels are going to be dominating the trend market.

Midi Skirts are great for the spring because they easily transition from work to weekend. You can dress them up with heels or go for the more casual look with sandals or flats. Two of my favorite styles of midi skirts are the gathered pleat and knife pleated bodies. The gathered pleat is great because it is fit around the waist and flares out, creating a great fit for any shape. I also really like the knife pleat because of the pretty and delicate look it creates, adding subtle volume. I also really love the way it sways; it makes me feel like a princess!florals for blog post

Florals for spring- groundbreaking, I know! I am not usually the floral kind of girl, but I really love a floral with a black background. I tend to gravitate to blacks and whites, so a floral with a black ground really meshes with my style. It also allows the floral print to pop more! A black ground also makes it easy to transition from spring to summer and even into fall, making the piece very transitional! pastels for blog post

Pastels are a trend that we have started to see not only in the spring, but also slipping into the fall trends (as it was pretty huge last fall). For the spring, finding the right balance of pastels is imperative to look on trend and not like an Easter egg. I really like light pinks, corals, and light blues. I tend to stay away from the pale yellows, again to not look like an Easter egg. Pastels can make you look and feel very fresh and springy (pun intended).Screen Shot 2015-02-09 at 6.36.25 PM

Gingham prints are also another really fun and easy trend we are going to see for spring. This print is often thought of as picnic like and hard to wear. However, with super cute silhouettes like these, it makes the trend easy and updated. It is a great way to look flirty and fashion forward!
