5 Valentine’s Day Outfit Picks

Whether you have that perfect someone to spend Valentine’s day with or not, you deserve to splurge on yourself! While my special someone happens to be dinner with my best friend, I still plan on rocking a great look!

            I’ve never really been into Valentine’s Day, I am one of those people that believe I should be treated amazing every day and not just one day of the year (and of course vice versa). I’ve decided this V-Day is about loving myself and those who have been by my side every step of the way instead!

            My best friend has been my rock for 15 years and I am SO proud of the women we have become over the past year. So its time to celebrate our love of ourselves and our friendship, to celebrate the challenges we have faced and overcome by each others’ sides, and to look forward to our futures. Sure we may be single, but loving yourself is the first step into being able to truly love others when it comes to a relationship. SO Happy I love Me Day- I’ll be rocking a Garish Gal Dress and my favorite heels.

Garish Gal Does Halloween

The older I get, the less I feel like dressing in something funny or overly sexy.

So here are a few fun ways to dress up for Halloween the Garish Gal way.

FYI- All of the props (i.e hats, swords, gold coins) are from the dollar section at Target!

Pirate: I love this look (mainly because this is what I will be wearing!!). The leather skirt really goes well with what a pirate would wear! By adding the pirate accessories, we finish off the look!

Devil: This is a different take to the typical devil. Red is a hard color for me to wear, so by adding the black leather hot shorts and ivory fur vest to the cross back blouse, it creates a different but still sexy devil look. The devil headband is a look finisher!

Army Girl: This is SO cute! The camo blouse, pleather ivory perfect tank, and the black skater skirt is a fun way to be a contemporary army gal! Add an army hat and a killer pair of boots to complete this look!

Ring Leader: This look so reminds me of the Britney Spears song, so of course I am in love! The gold lurex jacquard shorts, perfect tank, ring leader hat, and a pair of heels make for a perfect look!

Frankenstein: Who says Frankenstein can’t be hot? These jogger leather track pants and black fur vest are great way to beat the cold weather for Halloween. Finish the look with the Frankenstein mask & our pretty cream blouse!

Cop: Leather & Handcuffs are the perfect cop combination. This black pleather jacket, black and white blouse, and pleather shorts are an updated cop outfit! Instead of grabbing bracelets, grab handcuffs & a police hat to complete the look!

The great part about all these looks is that you can wear them in your every day wardrobe!

Fall Must Haves: Pencil Skirt

Pencil Skirts are work wear must haves- not just fall must haves!

This is a great black pencil skirt– it is so comfortable and stretchy.

I love that the quilted stitching adds a new take to the typical pencil skirt.

Cozy and Comfortable, yet still work wear appropriate. This first look is a great way to pair a cardigan with a pencil skirt. You can relax in the office or switch out the cardigan for a blazer when it’s meeting time! The blouse looks great tucked in, or you can tuck in the front and let the pleated back detailing peak out of the cardigan.

The open mouth/lips is a trend from last fall that we are seeing again for this fall. So I thought the perfect way to edge up a classic pencil skirt is to add this fun graphic tee. I love to wear booties in the fall/winter. They are the perfect completer piece. Of course it is fall so I added my floppy hat!

This first look is one of my favorites! Pairing our Rockin’ Rebel Skater Skirt with this brand new Cross My Heart Blouse in red creates a major statement. The sharpness of the red against the black skirt is stark-I just love the contrast.

These moto pants are edgy, adding a sweater is a great way to bring a little edge to your typical sweater look. I normally don’t like to wear pleather pants, but these are amazingly comfortable and giving! Animal print is a great way to bring a pop of pattern to a minimal outfit. I love the texture elements on the pants and how they contrast to the texture of the sweater. This look is a great way to mix texture with pattern in a subtle way.
